"Beginning the journey toward reconnecting with our self..."
Prisms refract or bend different colored light waves and there are infinite types of them. Like prisms, people have infinite forms. We are each unique individuals with a wide array of ancestry, history, culture, and environmental circumstances. These elements are part of our own individual and collective experience of our life that creates a colorful and vibrant expression of self.
But at times our experiences and circumstances can create or perpetuate division and isolation within ourselves like a veil of separation that dims our light. We might experience a disconnection from ourselves or others. If we are veiled in isolation over time, it can give rise to a number of fears. Fear of rejection and failure or distortion of self- worth and love, and creating a day to day balance with self and others. We are meant to be in connection with ourselves and others. We are relational beings and need connection to thrive. If you’re experiencing things that seem consistently out of alignment for you, disconnections from your own body-mind awareness or overriding your true needs and feelings as a way of life, it may feel like you are getting by or surviving, but not thriving.

As relational beings, we are not meant to prepare or move into our growth and changes alone. When unrelenting sadness, anxiety, anger, or stuck fears become a familiar way of surviving, it can be helpful to find a guide who can open our awareness to the experience of our minds, our bodies, and our life.
Hi, I’m Kim at Prism Point Counseling. And I am inviting you to consider me as a potential guide and resource. I’ve been a somatic body based practitioner for over 20 years and a professional counselor for more than 10 years. Together, we will use emotions and thoughts while facilitating your body-mind awareness through attuning and building the capacity to broaden and deepen your network of regulation with adaptability that supports more ease and transforms painful, stuck experiences and beliefs. We will move at a pace that’s right for you, no matter where you are in your journey.
If you’re open to exploring and working to build your body-mind bridge and experience freedom in your life, give me a call at 630 - 425 - 2025 (EXT 702) or complete the online contact form to schedule a free consultation.
