"Recognizing the desire for change...it's a profound first step..."
Each of us is a mosaic of experiences, emotions, and stories—some vibrant and celebrated, others hidden in shadow. We may be carrying these pieces of ourselves, striving to understand how they fit together. Sometimes, our mosaic may feel fragmented, as if certain pieces don’t belong. In these moments, we may feel stuck in suffering or negative thought patterns that feel cyclical and inescapable. We may find ourselves asking, will I ever feel different? Will I ever be different?
Recognizing the desire for change—that you want to feel different—isn’t small. It’s a profound first step toward a new way of being.
Life doesn’t demand that we smooth the edges or simplify who we are; it invites us to embrace the fullness of our identity - the brilliant and the shadowed tiles alike. Taking a step to better understand ourselves is courageous. It takes curiosity to examine each piece, patience to honor its place in the bigger picture, and compassion to accept the fragments we may have once overlooked or misunderstood. It’s about building a deeper connection to yourself, learning to navigate the layers of your life with greater clarity, and moving toward the goals that matter to you—whether they’re short-term steps or long-term transformations. Progress isn’t about an ultimatum or destination. It’s about discovering that even in the complexity of our multifaceted lives, there is room for growth, healing, and change.
For almost three years, I have had the privilege to aid adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples turn the tiles of their mosaic and create a different picture. My education in social work equips me to approach therapy with a strengths and systems-based lens, pulling from numerous fields of the social and behavioral sciences to embrace your complexity. I seek not to just understand the challenges you face but how you arrived here and what elements shape your life. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. My role is to help you discover what resonates with you and what doesn’t, empowering you to define your own path. Whether that is developing coping mechanisms, gaining new perspectives, or creating an affirming space where you feel recognized.
Your relationship with yourself is one of the most profound and lasting connections you will ever make. If you are looking to embrace your complexity and create a different picture, contact me for a free consultation. I am here to support you.
